Community Drum Circle

Our drum circle follows many of the Ecuadorian traditions; helps us connect to our inner selves to gain peace of mind, and clarity on issues we face in life. We start our meetings by clearing the space and ourselves with the smoke of dried sage (smudging). Then We do a few rounds of drumming to shake off the energy we carry with us from the day. It’s very relaxing and the vibration from the sound stimulates healing. We ground ourselves with a short meditation while holding a mudra - a special hand gesture that awakes certain qualities in our bodies and minds. Next we get ready for a shamanic journey (to aid in relaxation ;some people are able to gain clarity and guidance or meet their spirit guides and power animal) It's a guided meditation accompanied by the beating of the main drum by the shaman. Very often we incorporate Himalayan bowls sound healing at the same time. At the end of our meditation it’s a sharing time which is a crucial part of our meetings - voluntary but very important. Many times we gain answers to our own questions by listening to other people’s stories.

Come join us at Your Chiropractors Office @ 734 Broadway in Bayonne this Monday 11/12 or the next time we are getting together. The most important part of the circle is the people that create it.
